You think that's amazing? How about the tree that stood there or the men who cut it down, or the people who cut it up and transported it away? What you have there is just a memory of thngs that were really great. You might be a little small-minded if a stump is amazing.

The amount of people that dont understand that there are several legitimate reasons to cut a tree down amazes me.. Yeah it was a big old tree but that doesnt mean it wasnt rotten, or blown partially down by a storm, or it couldve been infected with a disease/parasite/fungi that could spread to other trees. Nope its always the big bad human who cut it do to make a chair.

Captain here: I live about an hour from this location and they actually removed this stump of what used to be the largest Sitka Spruce in Oregon that was destroyed in a storm. It was famous, but it's merely a memory now. *flies away*
